Elora Mill

Elora Mill, and all the Pearle wedding venues, are among my favourite wedding venues in Ontario. The venue’s opulent event space features crystal chandeliers and a soft, neutral colour palette that exudes luxury. Working with Pearle also ensures the highest standard of professionalism, with trained staff prepared to execute your event to the utmost.

Courtney and Riaz envisioned an intimate atmosphere with modern touches for their Elora Mill wedding. Their event concept centred around a black-and-white colour palette with added warmth from an abundance of candles. So, we decided on baby’s breath runners interspersed with candles and bud vases for their florals. In addition, the ceremony space featured two freestanding floral towers adorned with candles. Every element is made for a sophisticated design that is enhanced by the breathtaking backdrop of Elora Mill!

Langdon Hall

While I haven’t yet had the fortune of working at Langdon Hall, it’s on my list! As a luxury wedding florist, this venue captivates me with its timeless elegance and natural beauty. It’s a truly exquisite canvas for floral artistry! The historic architecture and lush gardens could complement any floral design, allowing the arrangements to harmonize perfectly with the venue’s overall ambiance.

This venue boasts many versatile and inspiring spaces, from the sunlit conservatory to the intimate banquet rooms. There are endless possibilities to craft stunning floral displays that elevate a couple’s unique vision. Moreover, the venue’s commitment to impeccable service ensures that every detail is perfectly executed. All in all, this is my dream venue for showcasing my passion for floral design!

Art Gallery of Hamilton

The Art Gallery of Hamilton offers a unique blend of sophistication and artistic flair! The gallery’s stunning architecture and contemporary art collections provide a beautiful and inspiring wedding backdrop guaranteed to wow your guests. One of the biggest perks of booking this venue is access to the gallery’s full collection to adorn the walls of your reception space!

Cat and Justin’s AGH wedding was minimalistic and modern, with low, Ikebana-style centrepieces filled with bold, structured blooms on a bed of moss. LED pillar candles (this venue does not permit real candles, but their collection of in-house rentals is the real deal!) and clear glass bud vases completed the tablescapes. The lush floral design took centre stage between the art pieces on the white inner walls and the glass outward-facing walls admitting plentiful natural light.

Our next wedding here will feature harvest tables with low-profile arrangements interspersed among the candles, all in a warm, neutral palette with pops of copper. The real standout pieces will be the eight hanging installations showcasing a mix of dry and fresh florals, including hanging amaranthus and big clusters of sea lavender, Queen Anne’s lace, and baby’s breath!

Art Gallery of Ontario

The Art Gallery of Ontario is another venue on my wedding bucket list! This venue has always held a special allure for me as a floral designer due to its blend of artistic splendour and cultural sophistication. Situated in the vibrant heart of Toronto, the AGO offers a breathtaking backdrop of iconic artworks and architectural feats that would serve as an inspiring canvas for my floral designs.

Each event held at AGO encourages full creative expression, whether amid the grandeur of Walker Court or the intimate elegance of Baillie Court. I would love to do an installation on the stairs of Baillie Court featuring a collection of deep, moody blooms ranging in colour from ivory and nude to crimson and mauve.

The Pearle Hotel & Spa

The Pearle Hotel in Burlington effortlessly blends modern luxury with timeless elegance. The stunning waterfront views of Lake Ontario create a beautiful backdrop for wedding ceremonies and receptions, making every moment of your special day feel magical! Moreover, the hotel’s chic design and versatile spaces make it the perfect setting for any size event, from intimate gatherings to grand celebrations.

I’ve had the fortune of providing floral design services for a few weddings here and can attest that each one was unique in how the space allowed the flowers to pop. My favourite wedding was for Alex and Lee in 2021, right after COVID restrictions were lifted! Alex’s vision was for an ombré wedding in various shades of pink and red, and that’s exactly what came to life.

The ceremony in the Laurentide room utilized ombré florals on lucite pillars, which I later repurposed at the reception next to the sweetheart table. Ombré centrepieces and a mix of sandstone, blush, and ivory-coloured pillar candles adorned the reception space on the guest tables for a colourful, modern-meets-boho look.
